- Curds is harmful to you in certain conditions Below:

Curds is always been an essential part of our Indian diet. Curd has a cooling effect, aiding in our digestion and it has high phosphorous and calcium content.  It is been known for ages about its advantages and benefits.  However, in some cases it is also harmful to your body under certain conditions which CURD can do more harm than good.  Below some quick look to avoid these harmful conditions.


Aoid Curds with Fish, Milk, Oily foods, & Mango/Onions.               



Fish: Curd with Fish can lead to indigestion & other stomach disorder. It may not effect everyone, it can be quite an ordeal for those  who experience the harmful effects of this combination.    Oily foods: Curds with oily foods may slow down your digestion process and make you lethargic.  It isn't harmful in the real sense but it can bring down your productivity and leave a not-so-good feeling with you.                                                                            Mangoes & Onion:  These both are hot by nature and CURD is cool. Pairing up curd with these items may cause skin issues like Rashes, Psoriasis and Eczema.                                                              Milk: The two animal protein sources should never be consumed together as it can lead to Diarrhea,  Acidity and Stomach issues.


Must avoid taking CURD at Night.  It is harmful as it increases Phlegm as per Ayurveda three dosha's in our Body (Vaath, Pith, Kaffh)  Kaffh is predominant at night.  Curds have both sweet and sour properties adds to the Kaffh & creates an imbalance leading to Phelgm formation.  

Curds is always been an essential part of our Indian diet. If you are suffering from Cough, Asthma, or if you are prone to Flu & Cold you must avoid having curds at Night. Eating curds at night also poses risk of stomach disease & causes fear of infection in our body.  People who are suffering from Arthritis or Joint pain if you eat curds it may have more pain. If you can't - Substitute with Raita or Butter Milk.
